My wife recently returned from India and at port of entry, the officer incorrectly wrote the paroled until date as Jul 12, 2010 instead of Jul 12, 2011. The date is incorrect on both I-94 and AP.
Will this create any issues and how can this be corrected? Her status is AOS pending, she doesn't have a EAD or H-visa
My wife's AP is valid till Oct 12, 2010. I would appreciate any help
Thanks a lot!

I am a July 07 filer. Recently I sent in EAD renewal application and got it approved within a month. When I saw my EAD card the Sex category on it was F instead of M. Now what are my option. Should I reapply for EAD or continue working on it. I changed my employer last month and am currently working on EAD.
TIA

He can have both types of permanent residence pending at the same time - marriage-based and employment-based. This is very common. The marriage-based filing will probably be approved sooner than the other, because priority dates are so backlogged now.
That is wonderful news, Elaine, thanks so much for the fast reply! We are actually in the DFW area, so if we need a lawyer for this 2nd application, I'll remember your name!

when situation is urgent - JUST GO !!!! - remember life is short and there is life beyond US too ..also --consult a lawyer ..don't rely on free advice ..most likely you should be o.k. but many out here are on EAD's and H1 rules keep changing.
my feeling is if you still have valid job (even though you had some unpaid) ..you should be o.k. . but lately there have been horror stories of harrasment ...so in the end prepare for worst and hope for best

I have used AC21 twice. I did send a letter to USCIS for my first move. i have not sent any letter for my second move. Most of the attorneys i consulted are saying it is not necessry to file for AC 21 unless you feel the employer can jeopardise your green card.
There is no rule for filing AC 21. If you get an RFE, they will request the specific document they need. If you are following the rules, then you should be able to provide whatever they request in the RFE.

nope. not at all. if you want a camera that takes short video clips almost all of the consumer level point and shoot cameras take a video clip with sound and all of them no mater the quality of camera shoot at 640x480 resolution at 30 frames per second. all told they are kinda fun to use and most will shoot for however long your media card allows before running out of space on a 2 gig card you can figure about 30 minutes worth. and also for the video feature some of the low end 100 dollar cameras take just as good quality video as the upper level ones. in fact in my case my wife owns a samsung dig cam that is under 100 bucks and it outperforms my canon digital elph in video for the reason that the lens on hers can zoom in and out opticly while recording my 250 dollar digital elph can zoom opticly before the record button is pushed but once you start recording it will zoom but only digitally which makes for low quality at 640x480 resolution. so i say buy the d40x or the canon rebel xti and then buy a point and shoot camera for the video clips. hope this steers you in the right direction.

My husband has a pending I-130 visa petition (I am a US citizen, he's Italian, we live in Italy). Can anyone tell me whether he is permitted to enter (and exit, as we are still residents in Italy) the US on holiday (departure 19 dec)?
I have not found any specific details in regard.
In what capacity will he be entering the US? Does he have a visa?

Guys,
After a long time I am logging into IV board. It was difficult period. Moved from TX to VA During January start. It took long to get me a good "matching" job and had to move on EAD. Sent the "proof of employment letter" to lawyer for AC21 notification.

It is possible to "interfile" in this situation, (See AFM Sec. 23.2(l) Transferring an Adjustment of Status Application from One Underlying Eligibility Basis to Another).
However, I do not think you can successfully interfile until your wife's 2010 PD is current. ( See AFM Sec. 23.2(l)(2)(L) The Priority Date must Be Current for the Basis to Which the Applicant Wishes to Convert).

Hi, this is my first time in the forum and I wish to seek advice on my situation.
I'm a green card holder (singapore citizen) who got married while being a US PR. I wish to apply for my wife (singapore citizen) a green card.
How long is the typical wait? while applying, is it true that my wife can't enter the US?
I kind of know the answers but would like to confirm with this forum. I know the situation can be pretty bleak.
Many many thanks,
